About The Artist

My name is Erika Ray, and I’m a professional artist with a deep love for painting the world around me — especially the coastal beauty of God’s creation. Born and raised in South Carolina, I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Coastal Carolina University, where my passion for painting was shaped by the rhythms of ocean life and the natural world that surrounded me.

For as long as I can remember, art has been more than a creative outlet — it’s been a spiritual practice. My inspiration comes from both nature and my relationship with the Lord. I see God’s presence in the waves, the skies, and the still moments that often go unnoticed. Painting allows me to pause, reflect, and respond to that presence with color and movement.

My style has developed over time into something uniquely my own. It’s fluid and expressive — resting somewhere between fine art and folk art — and it reflects how I see the world: full of life, grace, and texture. Every piece I create is one of a kind. Each brushstroke is intuitive, prayerful, and rooted in gratitude.

Over the past few years, my work has found its way into the homes and hearts of many, with over 100 original paintings sold. I'm humbled by the support and encouragement from collectors who connect with the spirit and honesty in my art. Their belief in my work has allowed me to grow, create more freely, and step more fully into this calling.

I recently moved to the Upstate of South Carolina, where the mountains and lakes offer a new landscape to absorb. I’m excited to see how this region will influence my work in the seasons ahead. I believe every move is part of the journey — and I trust God will continue to inspire me through this beautiful, quiet setting.

Thank you for being here and taking the time to learn more about me. My hope is that my paintings bring peace, reflection, and a glimpse of God’s glory into your life — just as creating them does in mine.

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.”
Psalm 19:1
